A lot of people thought Walt Disney's dream was ludicrous. Many people laughed at his ideas while others told him it was impossible.

Walt Disney had a dream, a strong determination, and a strong belief. He made it happen. If he had listened to all those who told him his dream was impossible, we would not have the Disney resorts we have today.

There are countless situations where individuals were told it was impossible, yet they went on to achieve success.

I believe it all comes down to your own outlook:

- if you think it is impossible, then it is; if you think it can be achieved, then what you see is not the impossible, but the end result.

Inspirational Words

Do you have quotes or sayings that encourage inspire and uplift you. Here are inspirational words that provide just that for me. Each year, I reflect on the words that have made a difference in my life. Phrases that have meaning to me because they have helped me overcome challenges, or have inspired me to continue working towards my goals, or words that have made me smile but also contain wisdom. Also, these are sayings that I have shared with family or friends in the hopes that they would encourage and motivate them.

Everyday is not a good day, but there is good in every day.

This is my favourite quote. We all have bad days, and we can make the day worse by our own attitude. If we reflect on this saying, it will help change our attitude and our bad day may not seem so bad after all.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

At times, we may not do something for someone because we think it is not enough; however, this quote by Aesop is one that reminds us that every small deed do make a difference. It also reminds me of the quote by Anne Frank, "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."

You get what you give.

These words are short and simple but carry a lot of wisdom in them. I believe that what you give comes back to you, always.

Focus, focus, focus.

It is so easy to lose our focus; there are many things that can distract us from achieving our goals. So often, I say these three words to remind myself of my goals and to do the things that I need to do.

Persistence prevails when all else fails.

This saying is one I refer to on a regular basis. Each year, when I reflect on the thousand of quotes I have read, this one never tires. It is one that motivates me to keep going.

It is wise to direct your anger towards problems - not people; to focus your energies on answers - not excuses.

These inspirational words were said by William Arthur Ward and are great to reflect on when you are angry or upset. You can come up with a million excuses but it truly is a waste of time and energy; look for the resolution not for an excuse.

The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.

No matter what goal you are trying to achieve you have to visualize your success, be determined and go after your dream. You don't let any obstacles stop you; they may slow you down, but they don't stop you.

Every life is a story, make yours a best seller.

This saying is on a magnet that I have on my fridge. It is one that I have shared with many. It is one that inspires me every time I read it. . It also reminds me of the quote by Harald Anderson, In life we can have results or reasons. Does your life have results or does it have reasons?

No matter what accomplishments you make, somebody helped you.

We all have had help from someone. These inspirational words by Althea Gibson encourage me to help others just like others have helped me.

It is my hope that by sharing these inspirational words of wisdom that they give you thoughts to start the New Year on a positive note. I hope they encourage you to turn your dreams into goals, to be determined and always leave time in your life to help others. My wish for you is success and happiness in 2011.

Be Inspired by This Famous Person

Anne Frank

Be inspired by the words of Anne Frank who suffered challenges that most of us could never imagine. She was born in Germany on June 12, 1929. As a German-Jew she was force to go into hiding during the Holocaust. Anne and her family spent 25 months hiding in rooms about her fathers office only to be betrayed to the Nazis. Along with her family she was deported to a Nazi concentration camps where Anne died of typhus nine months later (March 1945). She was only fifteen years old.

Her dairy was first published in 1947 and has been read by millions. We hope her words encourage you and inspire you. Despite her age, she had wisdom that most of us can only hope for.

Positive Inspirational Note

The most positive inspirational note I ever received was from a good friend who has been a mentor, a supporter, and an inspiration to me. This friend has had some very challenging issues in their life, but they always look at the positive side of every situation. No matter what the issue they are able to find the good in it. After years of working with many set backs, they continued to persevere and they have achieved success.

The message that they sent me inspired and motivated me. What they did was write a poem to me to encourage me not to give up, to continue.. What was neat about this note is that they took quotes and put it in a letter to me. Here is the positive inspirational note:
