Having experienced a medical issue backstage, Jimy Hettes has been ruled out of tonights fight by doctors and commission officials, the statement read. He has been transported to a local hospital for safety reasons. Hettes (11-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Brandao (18-10 MMA, 4-3 UFC) were set to meet on the UFC Fight Pass-streamed portion of the prelims. Hettes, a well-rounded 27-year-old whos been training for more than a decade in both boxing and grappling, had a promising start in the UFC after submitting Alex Caceres and earning a decision win over Nam Phan in his first two bouts with the promotion. However, hes just 1-2 since then, and in his most recent fight, he suffered a TKO loss to Dennis Bermudez in March. Brandao is a hard-hitting Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who won TUF 14 with a submission victory over Bermudez.
